NB Motor Vehicle Inspections in Dieppe
As an authorized NB Motor Vehicle Inspection Station, Les Pneus Goguen Tires performs comprehensive inspections to help ensure your vehicle meets provincial safety requirements.
Our licensed mechanics inspect major safety components, including brakes, steering, suspension, tires and lighting systems.

Why Vehicles Fail Inspection?
A vehicle may fail if one or more components do not meet provincial requirements. Common reasons include worn brakes, damaged suspension parts, unsafe tires, lighting problems, windshield damage and excessive rust affecting the vehicle’s condition.
If deficiencies are found, our team will explain what needs attention before the vehicle can pass.
What Is Checked During an Inspection?
An NB motor vehicle inspection covers components that affect safety and roadworthiness. Depending on the vehicle, the inspection may include:
-
Body and seat belt assemblies
-
Windshield and windows
-
Horn and windshield wipers
-
Rear-view mirror
-
Lighting systems
-
Exhaust system
-
Brake system
-
Steering and suspension systems
-
Wheels and tires
-
Applicable coupling systems
These checks follow the standards established by the Government of New Brunswick.

Preparing for Your Inspection
A few basic checks may help you prepare before arriving:
-
Test your headlights, brake lights and turn signals
-
Check your tires for visible damage or excessive wear
-
Inspect your windshield for significant cracks or damage
-
Confirm that your horn and windshield wipers work
-
Address any warning signs involving brakes, steering or suspension
These checks do not replace an official inspection, but they may help identify obvious concerns ahead of time.
Reinspections and the 14-day Repair Period
A vehicle that does not pass receives a rejection sticker and a list of deficiencies. The rejection sticker provides 14 days to complete the required repairs and have the vehicle reinspected at no additional inspection cost.
A rejection sticker does not indicate that the vehicle is safe to drive or exempt it from equipment violations during that period. See the current New Brunswick inspection requirements for details.
